What's HOUGAKU?
HOUGAKU is name of all Japanese traditional music. It includes "SANKYOKU" (instrumental music), "MINYOU" (folk song), "GAGAKU", "JYORURI music", "NOH music" and so on.
We call especially instrumental music HOUGAKU. These are made or arranged for KOTO , SANGEN(SHAMISEN) , SHAKUHACHI.
